The UEFA Nations League 2024-25 has a total of 54 teams split into four leagues based on their international ranking. Three leagues A, B and C contain four groups of four teams each whereas League D has two groups of three teams.

Teams in League A will vie for the UEFA Nations League Final that is scheduled to be held in June 2025. All the four group winners and runners-up in League A will play a double-legged quarter-finals with the winners proceeding to play the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the four group winners in Leagues B and C, as well as the two group winners in League D, are automatically promoted to Leagues A, B and C, respectively. 

The third-ranked teams of League A and the runners-up of League B, as well as the third-ranked teams of League B and the runners-up of League C, will play a home-and-away promotion-relegation playoff.

The fourth-placed teams in Leagues A and B are automatically relegated to Leagues B and C respectively. The two lowest-ranked fourth-placed teams in League C, meanwhile, are relegated to League D.

England finished third in the inaugural edition of the UEFA Nations League in 2019 after beating Switzerland on penalties in the third-place playoff match.

The Ireland cricket team is gearing up to host Zimbabwe for a one-off Test match, which is slated to take place from Thursday, July 25 to Monday, July 29. 

According to the schedule for the Ireland vs Zimbabwe One-off Test 2024, the match is set to be held at the Civil Service Cricket Club in Stormont, Belfast, with a starting time of 3:30 PM IST. Fans in India can catch all the action via live streaming.

The New York cricket stadium has witnessed several low scoring encounters in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 in the United States.

Popularly known as the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, the New York cricket stadium is a new modular, temporary venue that is constructed on the grounds of Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York.

With a seating capacity of 34,000, the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium will stage eight T20 World Cup 2024 matches.

Having already hosted seven of the eight games, the pitches at the New York cricket stadium have been heavily criticised for being substandard and at times extremely dangerous.

The primary focus has been on the drop-in pitches used as no team has crossed 140 in the seven games played at the venue in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Sabina Park, Kingston is a picturesque cricket ground located in Jamaica.

Established in 1895, the Sabina Park, Kingston was one of the hardest and fastest pitches in the Caribbean for several years. In recent years, Sabina Park has slowed down even after attempts were made to restore life by relaying it on more than one occasion.

It is the home of the Kingston Cricket Club and the West Indies cricket team at international level.

Sabina Park has a spectacular backdrop with the Blue Mountains to the north, facing the George Headley Stand, with Kingston Harbour to the south. This beautiful view is currently blocked by the Northern Stand, built as part of the ground's redevelopment for the 2007 Cricket World Cup.

It staged its first international cricket match, a Test played between hosts West Indies and England in April 1930. The Test match ended in a draw.

In April 1984, Sabina Park later hosted its first One-Day International (ODI) between West Indies and Australia. Led by Viv Richards, the hosts won the ODI by nine wickets.

West Indies opening batter Evin Lewis features second on the list with 125 runs in a solitary knock that he played at this ground against India in 2017.

West Indies bowling all-rounder Odean Smith has picked up the most wickets at this cricket ground in the T20I format. The right-arm medium pacer bagged seven wickets in three T20I matches at an average of 13 and an economy of 8.27. Odean Smith has a best T20I bowling figures of 3/29 against New Zealand at this venue in 2022. Ireland’s Alex Cusack and New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner share the second spot with six scalps each.

Highest individual score

Flamboyant West Indies cricketer Evin Lewis holds the record for the highest individual score at the Sabina Park, Kingston in T20 international cricket. Opening the batting, Evin Lewis slammed an unbeaten 125-run knock off just 62 balls against India in the only T20I of the series in July 2017. His blitzkrieg knock was laced with six fours and 12 maximums to help West Indies chase down India’s 190/6 in 18.3 overs. Best bowling figures

Former Ireland cricketer Alex Cusack registered the best bowling figures at this venue in the T20 format. Evin Lewis and Marlon Samuels stitched an unbeaten 112-run partnership for the second wicket against India in a T20I in 2017. Chasing 191, Lewis scored 125 not out while Samuels remained unbeaten on 36 to help West Indies chase down the target in 18.3 overs and secure a dominating nine-wicket victory in Kingston.

The ECN Netherlands T20I Tri-Series 2024 is scheduled to start on May 18 in Amsterdam.

Organised by the European Cricket Network (ECN), the ECN Netherlands T20I Tri-Series 2024 will see hosts Netherlands, Ireland and Scotland compete in a total of six matches.

As per the ECN Netherlands T20I Tri-Series 2024 format, each team will play the other sides twice in a double round-robin format. 

The team finishing at the top of the standings after all six matches will clinch the tri-series.

The Clontarf Cricket Club Ground is a cricket stadium located in the suburb of Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland. 

Also known as Castle Avenue Cricket Ground, the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground was established in 1958 and has a seating capacity of 3,200.

Clontarf is one of only four One Day International (ODI) grounds on the island of Ireland.

Zimbabwe’s Ryan Burl has picked up the most wickets at this cricket ground in the T20I format. The leg-spinner has scalped five wickets in two matches at an average of 9.20 and an economy of 5.75. He has registered best bowling figures of 3/22 against Ireland at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in T20I cricket. South African-born Irish cricketer Shane Getkate is second on the list with four T20I wickets in just two matches at this venue.

Highest individual score

Flamboyant southpaw Fakhar Zaman has the record for the highest individual score at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in T20I cricket. Batting at number four, Fakhar Zaman slammed 78 off 40 balls against Ireland to guide Pakistan to a seven-wicket win in Dublin. Fakhar Zaman’s match-winning knock was laced with six fours and as many maximums. Earlier, Ireland posted 193/7 in their 20 overs. 

Best bowling figures

Ireland’s Shane Getkate has the best bowling figures at this venue in the T20I format. The right-arm medium fast bowler registered match-winning figures of 3/20 against Zimbabwe during a T20I in 2021. Shane Getkate dismissed Wessly Madhevere, Regis Chakabva and Dion Myers to restrict Zimbabwe to 152/5 in their 20 overs. Ireland later chased down the target in 18.3 overs to win the match by seven wickets.

Highest partnership

Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman hold the record for the highest partnership at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in T20I cricket. Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman stitched an incredible 140-run stand for the third wicket against Ireland to help Pakistan chase down 194 in 16.5 overs. Fakhar scored 78 while Rizwan remained unbeaten on 75. Pakistan won the game comprehensively by seven wickets.

The Nepal vs Ireland Wolves T20 series 2024 will start in Kathmandu on Monday, March 25. 

Organised by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the Nepal national cricket team will host Ireland Wolves in a two-match T20 series.

As per the schedule, the two T20 matches will be played on consecutive days on March 25 and 26. Both the games will be played at the Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Currently ranked 16th in the ICC men’s T20I team rankings, Nepal head into the series after losing to Papua New Guinea by 86 runs in the 2024 Hong Kong men’s T20I series.

Nepal have announced their 15-member squad to be led by captain Rohit Paudel. 

The likes of Aasif Sheikh, Anil Sah, Kushal Malla, Dipendra Singh Airee and Lalit Rajbanshi, who were rested for Nepal’s tour of Hong Kong have also returned to the squad.

On the other hand, Ireland Wolves, the second tier team of Ireland, will be led by Neil Rock.

While the Wolves have never played against a Nepalese team, the senior Ireland men's cricket team has met Nepal on five occasions. The Irish have won all the five matches previously.

After the conclusion of the series, Nepal A will square off against Ireland Wolves in three T20s and as many one-dayers.
