After losing an early wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal in only the third over, Rajasthan Royals captain Steve Smith and Sanju Samson combined for 121 runs to take their side out from the state of bother against Chennai Super Kings. Samson, in particular, took no time to settle and there was absolutely no stopping him. While Smith stayed on the line, playing it slow, Samson hit the Chennai bowlers left, right and centre.
His favourite prey, however, was leg-spinner Piyush Chawla, who was coming on the back of an excellent game against Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener. Showing no mercy, Samson hit the leggie for three sixes in an over after having hit Ravindra Jadeja for two in the earlier over. His efforts continued after a rather quite over, but his innings came to unfortunate end in the after being caught by Deepak Chahar off Lungi Ngidi's delivery.
The rest of the Rajasthan pack fell like the house of cards, but the skipper stayed on the field until the 19th over, and the fans, or even the neutrals, can't help but appreciate the efforts from the Rajasthan duo. This is how they are reacting to it:
