After standing out at T1 Esports Academy, Yoon ‘Poby�?Sung-won is making a major move ahead of the LEC Summer Split 2025. He is joining the European side Fnatic as their latest import. He replaced Marek ‘Humanoid�?Bráda, who is now on the team’s inactive roster. 

Fnatic enters the Summer Split with low expectations after they struggled during the Spring Split. During that time, they placed fourth and could not reach the Mid-Season Invitational. With Poby joining, this could be the boost they need to return to being Europe’s best.

Poby is not lacking in confidence, which is a good sign for a mid laner. The position needs players to be bold and confident, so Fnatic will have a risk-taker from the mid-lane. Fnatic’s head coach Fabian ‘GrabbZ�?Lohmann is pleased to see Poby fitting in well with the rest of the team. 

GrabbZ said, ‘The first thing that stood out of Poby was his enthusiasm. Someone who can really brighten the mood of the team, and I think he’s someone who can also lead his team.�?/p>

Team Heretics made history by winning the 2025 Valorant Esports World Cup after a stunning comeback against Fnatic. The Grand Finals delivered non-stop action across five intense maps, ending 3-2 in Heretics' favour. 

Fnatic dominated early, winning the first two maps with strong play. They took Lotus 13�? after an 8�? lead at half and crushed Sunset 13�? with a one-sided first half. Heretics faced defeat but refused to back down. Heretics turned the tide on Icebox, winning 13�?1 by staying focused in key moments. 

They carried that momentum onto Haven, where they secured a 13�?0 win to tie the series at 2�?. The deciding map on Ascent tested both teams. Heretics built an 8�? lead at halftime and finished 13�?0, completing the stunning comeback. 

This win marks Heretics�?first international championship and earns them US$500,000 in prize money.

Riot Games marked VALORANT’s fifth year with a light-hearted but thrilling match between two of the game’s most respected names: Fnatic’s Jacob ‘mini�?Harris and Team Liquid’s Connor ‘Sliggy�?Blomfield. 

The special event took place on Monday, June 2, at 7 pm BST and featured a friendly clash between Team mini and Team Sliggy across five maps.

Team mini included community favourites Acrethedog and Thinking Man’s Valorant (TMV), along with broadcasters Sideshow and MitchMan. On the other side, Team Sliggy featured top minds like eMIL, d00mbr0s, Karagii, and Bacon9.

The match was streamed on Fnatic streamer Megan ‘megsoundslikeegg�?Garner’s Twitch channel, with each player also hosting their game point of view. Team mini came out on top, winning 4-1 in a fast-paced, fun-filled match.

In line with VALORANT’s 5th anniversary, Riot is also set to release a new map and event pass on June 24 or 25. Fans can also relive VALORANT nostalgia with the 5th-year cinematic, ‘Why We Fight�?

CCT Season 2 Europe Series 19 has finally concluded with BC.Game Esports dominating Fnatic in two maps. With the score ending in 2:0, the BC.Game squad made light work of Fnatic. 

Nuke, Dust2, Inferno, and Anubis were removed during map picking. BC.Game Esports chose Mirage, while Fnatic went with Train. The remaining map, Ancient, was selected for the 3rd face-off. 

The first match went to BC.Game Esports, finishing all 13 rounds, while Fnatic only took 6. Fnatic was also defeated in Train, and the game ended with the champions retaking 13 rounds, while Fnatic had 7 rounds. As per the rules, the map in Ancient did not happen as BC.Game Esports has already won 2 matches. 

Rifle rounds went flying as both teams�?AWPers clashed. BC.Game Esports�?Tim ‘nawwk�?Jonasson was proven the better sniper as he went against Fnatic’s Burmylov. 

BC.Game Esports took home $22,000 in cash prizes as they ranked 1st, while Fnatic, ranking 2nd, still earned $10,000. Metiz Sport (3rd) and Nexus Gaming (4th) each got $5,000. Teams ranked 5th to 8th each got $2,000.
