INDIANAPOLIS — With just over two weeks to go before selections, the NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Committee has revealed its top 10 teams.
Using results through games on April 17, Notre Dame (8-1) comes in as the top team in the committee rankings. Notre Dame has five wins inside the top 15 of the RPI, including a victory over North Carolina last weekend.
Princeton (9-2) is ranked second. The Tigers are fourth in the RPI, but hold wins over the teams ranked second and third (North Carolina and Syracuse, respectively). The Tar Heels (10-2) and the Orange (10-3) earn the next two positions, giving the ACC three of the top four teams.
Richmond (10-1) closes out the top five. The Spiders are 3-1 in games against teams in the top 10 of the RPI, with their only loss coming to Notre Dame.
The next three teams are Johns Hopkins (7-4), Cornell (8-3), and Harvard (9-2), respectively, which matches their current RPI positions. Maryland (6-4) and Virginia (7-5) round out the top 10 reveal.
All 10 teams are in action on Saturday, April 18, including three contests that feature a matchup between two of the ranked teams.
The 2026 championship field will consist of 10 automatic qualifiers and 8 at-large selections, which will be announced on Sunday, May 3 at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
The tournament starts on Wednesday, May 6 with opening round games. The championship will take place at campus sites through the first round of the tournament, while the quarterfinals will be on the campuses of Delaware and Hofstra. The semifinals and championship game are set for May 23 & 25 at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia.
